For 10 Years I have Tried, Really Tried, but I Can’t Do It

Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart

Trump is the worst person in the world. He hates his own country, and continues to seek revenge against anyone who offered even the slightest criticism of his words and actions.

However, I began researching Trump’s life over 10 years ago, a few weeks before he attempted to make a grand entrance inside Trump Tower to declare his intent to win the Republican Party’s presidential nomination.

Like anyone else who researched and wrote about Washington in the 21st century, I found it humorous, and never thought that the least qualified person in the world would become the leader of 330 million people.

I underestimated the level of ignorance and hatred possessed by most Republican voters. The orange buffoon easily won most of the 2015-2016 primaries, defeating 16 poorly qualified men and women, but would have been better choices than the driver of the clown car.

The truth is, he did not win with ideas about how to solve our nation’s problems, he won with personal assaults and blatant lies about his opponents.

Not during the campaign, but after his illegitimate victory on November 8, 2016, I began my search to find something, anything positive about Trump over his 70 years on earth. Raised by my grandparents, I was taught to always find the ‘good’ in anyone.

I couldn’t find what I was looking for, but I did find a history of criminal activity, large and small, and an attitude which revealed his life’s philosophy: “fuck everyone else, my personal pleasure is the only thing that is important.”

When 75 of the world’s most respected psychiatrists signed a letter revealing Trump’s problem with mental illness, it all began to make sense. This disease prevented him from thinking clearly and with the intent of accomplishing something of value. It’s called “malignant narcissism.” The definition accurately describes the Donald John Trump I see and know today.

[In the popular conception, malignant narcissism is a form of narcissistic personality disorder that is highly abusive. People with this personality supposedly get a sense of satisfaction from hurting others and may manipulate people or lie to gain money, acclaim, and other things they desire.

[Campbell’s Psychiatric Dictionary suggests that malignant narcissism includes traits of narcissistic personality disorder and antisocial personality disorder. Narcissistic personality disorder   Trusted Source causes a person to seek constant acclaim and admiration, often by whatever means necessary. It also includes elements of antisocial personality disorder, which causes a person to engage in harmful, and sometimes criminal, behavior.]

Trump’s stacked Supreme Court gave him absolute immunity for his many crimes, big and small, including treason and violating the Espionage Act.

Today, knowing that he is above the law, including the Constitution, he is systematically destroying the very fabric of what made America a nation which might someday have become the greatest nation in the world.

Oh, by the way, he is destroying nearly one-half of the people’s White House without permission. Donny Destucto is the worst thing to happen to America in 249 years.
