Only in America: An Attempted Coup is Accepted as Normal

Another “first” for America. Although there have been numerous
attempted coups in the modern era, on January 6, 2021, I experienced another first-time
event in my 79 years. A sitting president planned, organized, and executed an attempt
to overthrow the government of the United States of America.
Don’t think about trying to tell me that this violent
insurrection was anything other than what it was if you did not watch all three
hours of the darkest day in American history.
Have no illusions: this was a bloody, hate-filled attack on
our nation’s democratic government, and in its place, a plan to establish a
fascist regime with Trump as its Fuhrer. It was nothing more or less.
Trump was in complete control of the bloody event from the
moment he stood on a makeshift stage and ordered his Nazi army to halt the
certification of the Electoral College vote, to the phone call he made to the
leaders of the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers to stand down more than three
hours after it began.
As my wife and I watched the attempt to end the dream of our
Founding Fathers, I knew once and for all that my America was over as long as
Trump remained the focal point of the mainstream media. This cowardly and
fallacious group of men and women have protected Trump and hidden the truth
since 2015.
There was one big difference between Trump’s attempted coup
and those in Africa, Asia, and Europe.
[21 May 1967: Failed overthrow by Lapiang Malaya of the
Third Philippine Republic led by President Ferdinand Marcos, ended with
government forces killing and arresting the participants.]
[On February 23, 1981, Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Tejero led
a group of armed Civil Guard officers who stormed the Congress of Deputies,
holding the parliamentarians hostage. The aim was to force the formation of a
new government and bring an end to Spain's democratic transition.
Outcome: The coup attempt collapsed after a defiant
televised address by King Juan Carlos I, who condemned the coup and called for
respect for the democratic process. Tejero and other coup leaders were arrested
and sentenced to long prison terms.]
[ A faction within the Turkish armed forces launched a coup
attempt on July 15, 2016, seizing key infrastructure in Ankara and Istanbul.
Outcome: The coup was defeated by security forces and a
large public resistance after President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan called on citizens
to take to the streets and oppose the takeover. In the aftermath, the
government initiated a massive crackdown on alleged coup plotters and perceived
dissidents, leading to tens of thousands of arrests.]
[ In late 2022, German authorities foiled a plot by the
"Reichsbürger" (Reich Citizens) movement to overthrow the government.
The group was inspired by conspiracy theories and planned to violently attack
the German parliament.
Outcome: Law enforcement arrested dozens of individuals
connected to the plot, including a former member of parliament and former
military personnel. The network was dismantled before it could execute its
plans, and the perpetrators were prosecuted.]
There are more, with similar results. The perpetrators were
all punished and received lengthy prison sentences, and in some cases punished
by death.
On January 6, 2021, although our entire legislative branch
and the Vice-President were under attack, fearing for their lives, our
worthless military did nothing but sit on their fat, overpaid asses. Trump’s “people”
were allowed to continue their efforts to end America.
Today, the Pentagon is allowing Trump to use our military to
invade blue states for the sole reason of preventing peaceful protests.
Most importantly, the old, obese, white man who organized
and planned the insurrection was allowed to remain free and was never charged
for treason after a corrupt Supreme Court intervened and saved his humongous
derriere.
Then he was allowed to run for the presidency in 2024 and
was named the victor in a “rigged” election controlled by Vladimir Putin and
Elon Musk.
It is impossible for anyone to offer valid evidence that
America is not over. What it once was, a nation on the path to greatness, will
never happen exist.
All of Washington has proven that ours is the most
incompetent and corrupt government in the world.
It is also an undeniable fact that the once respected “fourth
estate” has surrendered to Trump and his Nazi Party. None of what you see and
hear on television is entirely true. Facts are constantly removed from stories
to protect Fuhrer Trump, and the absolute truth is “verboten.”
I’m glad I’m an old man, and to my country, which no longer
exists, I say, “may you R.I.P.”
