Old, Submissive Democrats, Surrender to Trump, Hoping to end the Government Shutdown and Appease their Fuhrer

Nothing confirms the failures of the Democratic Party more than what happened in our nation’s Capital on Monday. The wishes of the people were once again ignored by Democrats who refer to themselves as moderates. A better word is “cowards.”

Not since Franklin Delano Roosevelt has a president and his administration placed the future of the majority ahead of the success and profits of the super-rich.

All true Americans demand resistance to Donny Dictator’s attempts to destroy the fabric of America. However, a large number of Democratic politicians refuse to listen to the people. Their fear of losing elections far surpasses demands which would require them to do the right thing for all Americans.

Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi and other member of the “old guard” have been entirely out of touch with the American people for years.

I live in Northern Nevada. My wife and I supported our two Senators, Catherine Cortez Masto, and Jacki Rosen, until this year. They have surrendered to the fascist in the White House and failed their responsibilities to the good, hard-working people of the Silver State.

When those you elect surrender to fascism, although you elected them to oppose the creation of a dictator, all hope is crushed.

Our entire system of governance is fucked up. All three branches of our government have failed the majority of our nation’s people.

The term “great” demands courage without compromise, character beyond the norm, and loyalty to our nation without exception. These personal attributes are extremely rare in the 21st century. This is why the government of the United States is the most corrupt and incompetent in the world.

Fact: The United States of America has not had a great leader since John Fitzgerald Kennedy. What we do have are professional politicians who place reelection ahead of the people they were elected to serve.

I was a senior in high school when the great man was murdered by a coward in Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 1963. I continue to hope that I will see someone like him in my life.

As a profession, politics is the most despicable and hated profession in the world. Those who fit that definition deserve what they receive.

This 79-year-old man will tell you that our government has become an incompetent, immoral, and self-serving group of men and women who fail to deserve your trust or respect.

Bessent is not quite a billionaire, yet, but he is a perfect example of how ignorant Trump’s administration is. Scott Bessent is Trump’s unqualified Treasury Secretary. He is not one of the billionaires on Trump’s cabinet, but he is worth 521 million dollars. This one fact prevents the old, white man from understanding what it is to be a real American in the 21 st century.
