Trump’s Immoral Pardons Prove that Presidential Powers Must be Limited and Controlled by the Legislative Branch
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart
Trump has pardoned some of the greatest criminals in modern
history. Why not? The Supreme Court pardoned the orange buffoon for acts of
treason on January 6, 2021, and violating the Espionage Act on January 20,
2021.
One important fact is confirmed by his dangerous actions:
Trump’s administration is indeed the Washington Mafia 2.0.
I know that history will remember January 6, 2021 as the
darkest day in American history. A sitting president spoke to his Nazi
supporters just outside of the White House. He ordered them to march to the
Capitol Building and prevent the certification of the Electoral College vote.
The insurrection had been planned and organized over several weeks during meetings
at the Willard Hotel.
The events which followed resulted in a violent invasion on
Capitol Hill as Trump’s mob searched the Capitol for Nancy Pelosi and Mike Pence.
Their orders were to hang them just outside of the Building.
However, that was a minor offense compared to the failure of
law enforcement to immediately arrest the worst illegitimate president in
American history, and charge him with treason.
If you did not watch all three hours of this unforgivable
event, you have no right to an opinion. Fox News edited the attempted coup in an
obvious effort to hide the truth.
More than 1,600 men and women were tried and convicted in a
court of law, but not for the actual crime they committed. One of Trump’s first
actions in January of 2025 was to pardon all 1,600 violent criminals.
Trump did not stop there. He subsequently pardoned other
criminals; most recently George Santos and Rudy Giuliani. Here’s how it works:
if you display loyalty to the orange buffoon, you may be convicted of your
crimes, but Trump will set you free.
I don’t know what country, what nation I live in today. What
I do know is that it is not the United States of America I lived in for 79
years of my life.
