Let’s See What Dozin’ Donnie and the Dimwits are up to Today
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart
I find myself very sad all of the time. I am an old man,
disabled, and losing my sight, but that I can handle: I have to. What makes me
both sad and angry is what Trump and the morons in his administration are doing
to my beloved country.
This morning, I decided to channel my grief into sarcastic
humor.
I grew up laughing at some of the greatest comedians in history.
They portrayed themselves as buffoons, incapable of doing anything right. I
loved Laurel and Hardy, Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplain, the Keystone Cops, and
others because they made me happy; they made me laugh.
Sadly, Trump and his minions are not playing parts in a
movie or television show, they are real dimwits, incapable of doing anything.
But they have one big difference: they are not trying to make us laugh, they
are destroying everything which made America a respected and revered nation.
Let’s look at some of the “news” making headlines today.
Trump fired a Democratic member of the FTC; a woman he
appointed in 2018 and President Biden appointed her to a second term which
would last until 2029.
Unfortunately, Trump has nothing else to do so he continues
to take revenge on anyone he considers to be an enemy. The very fact that he is
concerned about a lower level government employee is moronic and laughable. He
continues to waste time golfing, partying at Mar-a-Lago, and taking revenge.
Hello dementia.
However, Trump’s Supreme Court is choosing to hear such a
minor matter. Why? Because it will grant him additional power over an
incompetent and inept Congress. This is humorous because not a single member of
the mainstream media will call Trump what he is: a fascist dictator.
Another failure by right-wing politicians concerns two major
issues: healthcare and affordability.
The recent government shutdown was the longest in history.
The primary reason was a Republican plan to cut subsidies for recipients covered
by the Affordable Care Act.
However, eight Democratic cowards surrendered to Trump and
voted in favor of the right-wing’s destructive agenda, including Senators Rosen
and Masto who represent my state of Nevada.
The cost of coverage under “Obamacare” will increase
dramatically, making it unaffordable for millions of Americans. Nevada is one
of the poorest states in the West.
This, combined with the lack of affordability for at least
one half of all Americans to purchase necessities, has right-wing politicians
so afraid of the midterm elections they are literally soiling their shorts and
panties.
I find this funny, because the reason they are shaking is
because they worship their Fuhrer, and refuse to do the right thing: the
reasons they won elections.
This next story involves the radical difference between
Trump’s first administration and the current gang of fools and failures.
Every president is required to post his or her “National
Security Strategy.” It is usually vague and non-binding, but it is a rule which
must be followed.
Trump’s first administration was divided between competents
and incompetents. Some of the more experienced and knowledgeable wrote Trump’s first
National Security Strategy.
Their strategy moved away from the focus on Islamic
terrorism, and the growing power conflict between the United States, Russia and
China.
Last week the current Trump administration released its own “strategy.”
[Filled with chest-thumping pomposity, shrill rhetoric (and
more than a whiff of white nationalist/supremacist idiom), it marks a sharp
break not only with the post–Cold War trajectory of American strategy, but more
broadly with the direction of U.S. national security strategy since 1941. With
27 instances of Trump’s name in a mere 29 pages of text, it is a strategy
document worthy of North Korea.]
Fascism has arrived in America and it’s hugging a flag and
whining about how unfairly he has been persecuted.
One more. First, the 10th Amendment.
“The powers not delegated to the United States by the
Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States
respectively, or to the people.”
The final Amendment in the Bill of Rights protects the right
of states to govern their own people as long as laws and regulations passed by
state governments do not oppose the intent of the Constitution.
Trump says he will sign another of his disgusting executive
orders which will give him power over regulations involving AI. He claims, as
all corrupt politicians do, that this is a matter of “national security."
The term, my dear readers, is DICTATOR.
Time for Trump to go. He must be removed from our White
House by any means possible, including force.
