I Laughed Until I Cried
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart
I grew up in Los Angeles. I was raised by a single mother.
My brother and I never knew that we were poor. We were happy and had everything
we needed. Our only form of entertainment came from television or Saturdays at
the local movie theater. Movies composed a large percentage of our pleasure
when we were not at the beach or playing sports.
All movies fit into categories which include love stories,
comedies, action films, dramas based on real events or from novels, and stories
based on the actual lives of real people.
Therefore, when I was watching Amazon Prime a few days ago,
and a promotion describing an upcoming documentary about Melania Trump appeared
on the screen, I laughed so hard I began to cough.
Melania Trump is the old, orange buffoon’s most recent
trophy wife. It is impossible to find a single accomplishment in her life other
than marrying a wannabe billionaire who allowed her to remain in America and
eventually become another immigrant who was given naturalized citizenship.
Nothing about her is interesting with the exception of a few naked pictures
which were removed from the internet.
The cost of producing the documentary has been reported to
be about 40 million dollars. Never have I heard of a greater waste of money
since a film which has become known as the greatest failure in history, “Gigli.”
I would describe Melania Trump as a waste of human life. She
knows who her husband is, but her life of luxury and privilege is more
important than integrity, dignity, and self-worth.
Growing up adjacent to Hollywood, it is not uncommon to learn
about marriages of convenience and trophy wives. They are consistently composed
of laughable tales of relationships based on sexual desire and a woman’s
ambition for a life which promises great luxury and privilege.
Melania Trump is a perfect example of all women included in
my description. No one in their right mind would waste time watching a fairy
tale about a woman whose reality is founded in illusions and blatant
falsehoods.
Bezos is adding additional embarrassment and shame to his
already tarnished reputation. America is a very fucked up country in the 21st
century.
