Not the Leader of America’s White Supremacist Movement? Where the Hell Have You Been? In Front of the Television for the Last 10 Years?
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart
Before he exposed himself as the leader of America’s Neo-Nazi
movement, we knew that Trump was in control of our nation’s white supremacists.
Although historians and sociologists confirm the facts about
white privilege in America, Trump and his racist supporters deny facts. This is
something for which they have real talent.
I am a white man, and sometimes that makes me a little
ashamed. Born just three weeks after your illegitimate president, my mother
gave birth in the world of white privilege. The difference between us is
obvious: Trump was born into enormous wealth, while my family was poor.
However, we never experienced the existence of a “second America.”
I am aware that millions of Americans choose to be ignorant,
believing that Trump is not a fascist who hates all non-whites, believes women
have but a single purpose, doesn’t believe in God, but believes that
Christianity is the only true religion, all Muslims are the enemy of America,
and homosexuality is a sin, like him, they are not true Americans. They do not
accept the principles and ideals of our Founding Fathers.
If you continue to ignore the facts, take a look at Trump’s
most recent words and actions.
During a recent interview with the New York Times, Trump
offered an undeniable picture of himself and his support for extreme racism.
“White people were very badly treated, where they did
extremely well and they were not invited to go into a university or a college,”
Trump said. “So I would say in that way, I think it was unfair in certain
cases.” He later added that “it was a reverse discrimination.”
Fact, white men and women continue to be the dominate
population in our colleges and universities. Whites compose about 55 percent of
college and university enrollment, while Black Americans compose between 11-14
percent. The population of the United States is 60-74 percent white, and 12-14
percent Black.
What Trump and his ignorant, anti-American supporters fear
is that in the 21st century, these numbers are rapidly changing.
Intermarriage among races and diverse ethnic origins are erasing the number of
pure whites at the speed of light.
My generation, called baby boomers, are losing their earthly
bonds, and when we are no longer living in America, the number of pure whites
will make a very sudden change which will alarm Trump and his cult. Therefore,
his efforts to increase the power of white Americans by establishing absolute
economic control over all others is priority number one.
He is an ignorant and angry man, and his followers share his
emotions and severe lack of intelligence. They fail to recognize one, irrefutable
fact: diversity is our nation’s greatest strength, its greatest attribute. I
was born in America and into an atmosphere of white privilege. However, many of
the men and women I have known in my 79 years were not. The came to this
country for one reason: a desire for the American lifestyle where freedom of
thought and action is cherished: or at least it was until 10 years ago.
The day the name Trump is no longer spoken or written must
become a nation holiday, a day when the Constitution became whole again.
