Look at the Big Picture Over the Last 11 Years and Tell Me I am Wrong
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart
30 years ago, when I was in my 50s, I embraced change. Bill
Clinton had just begun his second term. America’s economy was flourishing, and
the future looked bright.
Unfortunately, the situation in our nation’s capital was not
as bright or as hopeful. Most politicians had become less involved in serving
the people, and more focused on winning elections while vying for greater power
and influence over the future of our nation.
Although President Clinton was popular among the people, he
was the target of every Republican politician on Capitol Hill. The reason was
clear, at least to me: A Republican had been in the White House for the
previous 12 years. Both Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush adopted a fiscal
policy of “trickle-down economics,” which failed the majority but enhanced the
already bloated wealth of the super-rich. With the election of Bill Clinton in
1992, the quality of life for the majority began to improve.
Adding to the problem was the Christian Religious Right.
Every Republican bowed to its demands, in violation of the First Amendment. The
path of our nation began to move backwards instead of forward. All religions
are regressive, not progressive. They believe that the past should control the
future.
Because term limits apply solely to our presidents, Clinton
was forced to leave office in 2001. His successor was our nation’s first
illegitimate president.
A contested and controversial election between
Vice-President Al Gore and Texas Governor, George W. Bush was decided by
the Supreme Court in 2000. This was an obvious violation of the intent of the
Constitution. The Court took powers not assigned to them. Politics had clearly
invaded the highest Court in the land. The only branch of our government
designed to be apolitical had become biased and therefore corrupt.
WITH THE 21ST
CENTURY CAME CHANGE: IT WAS NOT A GOOD THING
Our 43rd
president was the least qualified man in history to lead our nation. As the
governor of Texas, his greatest accomplishment was executing more prisoners
than any other governor in history.
Bush 43 began his
first term by taking a vacation. Although he and Vice-President Dick Cheney
were warned of an “imminent threat on our contiguous 48 states,” they left
Washington.
On September 11, 2001, nightmare became reality. Those of us
who lived through “13 days in October,” the Cuban Missile Crisis, in 1962,
experienced our greatest fear: a nuclear attack on the United States of
America.
Bush promised revenge against the architect of the attacks,
Osama bin Laden. Late in 2001, he ordered a raid on bin Laden’s hiding place,
but failed to kill or capture our nation’s biggest enemy.
He followed this failure with the invasion of Iraq, based on
lies and using the emotions of both fear and anger.
By the time Bush returned permanently to Crawford, Texas, He
had added trillions of dollars to the national debt with his engagement in two
unwinnable wars, and a failed fiscal policy which placed our nation in the
“Great Recession.” America had regressed and returned to the days of the “Cold
War.” The quality of life for most Americans had diminished, while those
invested in the military-industrial complex became millionaires and
billionaires.
THE OBAMA ERA
In 2008, the American people were desperate for positive
change, most critically, their economic future. We chose our first Black
President, Barack Hussein Obama. There were huge celebrations across our
nation. His inauguration was huge, sending a message of hope and renewal.
Although he faced extreme opposition from the right-wing,
President Obama accomplished great things for our country’s 300 million people.
The truth is, those who called themselves “Republicans” hated Mr. Obama, not
only for his policies, but also for the fact that a “Black man was living in
the White House.’
Late in January, 2009, Moscow Mitch McConnell and Speaker of
the House, John Boehner, stood before the television cameras and promised that
their party “would do nothing until ‘that man’ was out of the White House.”
They kept their promise.
Barack Obama attempted to move America forward into the 21st
century, joining every other nation in the world and offer healthcare to all,
keep the promises in the Constitution, and guarantee all women, members of the
LGBTQ community, and non-Christians complete equality. However a bigoted
“Republican Party” fought him at every attempt.
Many of his policies did succeed and our nation moved away
from a path towards certain economic destruction, and onto a path intended to
improve the quality of life for all Americans.
Unfortunately for every American, President Obama was forced
to leave the Oval Office in 2017, and a traitor and lifetime criminal
reluctantly moved into the White House.
DONALD “THE DESTRUCOR” RULES OVER AMERICA
Without a single qualification, without an average
intellect, and without a legitimate education, Donald John Trump became
America’s 45th president. However, his election was flawed and, to
use his own term, “rigged.” He had assistance from his handler, Vladimir Putin,
FBI Director James Comey, and the Mainstream Media. The latter used the
irritating and moronic buffoon to increase viewership, and therefore
advertising revenue. What I didn’t know, was that eight years later, the owners
of our major newspapers and television networks would support Trump and
maintain the plutocracy/oligarchy in 2025.
Trump’s history fails to contain a single positive
accomplishment. In 2017, he began his first term with multiple Constitutional
violations and crimes against humanity. Meanwhile, his illegal business
arrangements with foreign nations allowed him to increase his personal wealth.
Violating the Emoluments Clause became a common practice for Donald John Trump.
A little history will explain much about Trump. He was
afflicted with malignant narcissism at a very early age. This is undoubtedly
the result of having parents who taught him that he was superior to everyone
else, Blacks were inferior, and nothing mattered in life other than financial
success.
For unknown reasons, Donny was sent to a military boarding
school at the age of 13. It was only a few miles away from his home in Queens,
New York.
In 1964, he attended Fordham University, transferring to the
University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Business College in 1966. Trump received
his diploma in 1968. Two events occurred during this time period which remain
controversial today.
Prior to attending Fordham, Trump received two deferments
which prevented him from being drafted into the military during the war in
Vietnam. An M.D., residing in one of
father Fred’s apartment buildings, signed the documents.
After his illegitimate inauguration in 2017, Trump issued an
executive order which sealed all of his academic records. Listening to Trump
attempt to speak, and after he exposed his lack of basic knowledge, it is
commonly believed that his “daddy” purchased his degree.
BECOMING A FAILURE IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR
After working hi his father’s real estate business for about
three years, Donny was given about $421 million to begin his own empire.
However, he quickly lost that small but significant fortune. History will
reveal that Vladimir Putin’s oligarchs bailed out the wannabe entrepreneur and
aided him in his efforts to become part of the lucrative Manhattan real estate
universe.
Trump and first wife, Ivana, met Putin when they attended a
meeting with the KGB in 1987.
It was a well-known fact within the Manhattan business
community that Trump used various unscrupulous business practices, bribery, and
tax fraud to save his investments. In 2024, he was convicted on 34 counts
related to tax evasion. Although he is a convicted felon, six members of a
corrupt Supreme Court gave him absolute immunity for any of his past and
present crimes. He was never punished.
HOW THE WORLD BECAME A MORE DANGEROUS PLACE AFTER A MOSCOW
MEETING IN 2013.
A part owner in the Miss Universe Pageant, Trump joined the
event in Moscow in 2013. A dossier completed by former MI-6 agent, Christopher
Steele documented the events in which Trump participated. Although the most
disgusting event became his penchant for devious and disgusting sex practices
at the Moscow Ritz-Carlton, the most important revealed his meetings with
Putin. Plans to win the 2016 presidential election began on that weekend.
Although the dossier has been denied by the right-wing, it
has never been disproven.
A SHORT LIST OF TRUMP’S MAJOR AND MINOR CRIMES REVEALED
On January 6, 2021, my wife and I were watching television. Two
words which always cause alarm appeared on the screen: “Breaking News.”
The orange buffoon lumbered onto a makeshift platform and
began to speak. Trump ordered his Nazi-led army to march to the Capitol
Building and halt the process of certifying the Electoral College Vote,
confirming Joe Biden’s presidency. The violent insurrection/coup lasted for
three hours. Trump had openly committed treason, no matter how hard the right
attempts to hide the truth.
On January 20, 2021, Trump committed treason once again when
he stole about 14 boxes of national secrets from the White House. He violated
the Espionage Act, the same law which resulted in the execution of Leo and
Ethel Rosenberg in 1953.
In December of 2019, Trump was warned about the probability
that a health emergency had occurred in Asia, and was moving west. He dismissed
the information. However, in January of 2020, when the number of deaths
resulting from Covid-19 began to escalate, he told the press another huge lie.
He repeated over and over again, “it will just go away.”
When he was evicted from the White House on January 20,
2021, more than one million Americans had lost their lives. Healthcare experts
claim that about one hundred thousand of those deaths were the result of Trump’s
failure to lead our nation in a timely manner and fight the coronavirus.
Because of Trump’s failure, the economy crashed and our
nation was nearing a second Great Depression when he was removed from office.
His fourth major crime happened on February 28, 2026. Like
other dictators, Trump began a war with Iran as he ordered multiple missile strikes
against a sovereign nation. This was a clear violation of the Constitution:
only congress can declare war.
Lesser crimes include obstruction of justice, attempting to
bribe the leader of a foreign nation for political gain, actions which resulted
in impeachment twice., bribery, tax evasion, sexual assault, lying to the FBI, lying
to Congress, lying to the American people, and accusations of domestic violence.
I may be alone in my beliefs, but every one of these actions
disqualifies Trump from remaining in the White House.
