Protecting the Second Amendment and Allowing People to Die is the Biggest Pile of S**t I Have Ever Heard

I am sick and tired of the idiots on the right side of the
aisle, and one of their owners, the NRA. After the national disaster at Sandy
Hook Elementary School, and the fact that the number of mass shootings is
greater than the number of days on the calendar, I rightfully expected and
demand that our elected officials in Washington do something about what has
become the greatest danger to all Americans: Domestic Terrorism.
After every mass shooting, Republicans gather together in a
display of unity and ‘courage,’ and make a single statement: “we offer our thoughts
and prayers:” and nothing more.
LIES ABOUT THE SECOND AMENDMENT
In the 21st century, the Second Amendment is
meaningless. Every time the American people demand some form of gun control,
the morons who own most of our nation’s guns, the NRA, and fake Republicans on Capitol
Hill scream “Second Amendment” as loudly as possible.
First, and foremost, the Second Amendment is ambiguous. It
has no relationship to our nation or the world today. Although it is poorly
written, and was the most controversial Amendment passed during the First
Constitutional Convention, its purpose remains clear to anyone with common
sense.

Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the
people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
When the Second Amendment was written, the New Nation did
not have a standing army. When it became necessary to defend America from
attack, our people would leave their farms, stores, and offices and stand united
against the adversary.
Our Founding Fathers were incapable of imagining the type of
weapons that exist in 2026.
I firmly believe that the Second Amendment must be repealed
and rewritten. It must contain restrictions on the types of weapons which can
be purchased by the general public.
It is an irrefutable fact that assault rifles and handguns
were created and manufactured for a single reason: to kill human beings. They
have no other purpose. Handguns will always be controversial, but stringent
conditions limiting their purchase can become a reality. Assault rifles must only
be available to our military. Neither ordinary citizens nor law enforcement
should have access to these weapons of mass destruction.
I KNOW THAT TRUMP AND HIS PARTY HATE LOGIC AND COMMON SENSE,
BUT IT’S TIME FOR REAL CHANGE
I can’t count the number of articles I have written about
gun violence in America for newspapers and blogs over tha last 14 years. I am
convinced that they were a waste of my time. Voters continue to elect men and
women who place “gun rights” ahead of human life.
A study I read nearly 20 years ago, as gun violence was
escalating, explained the issue clearly for everyone to understand.
When an altercation arises between two or more people, it is
not unusual for physical violence to ensue. However, in most situations’ deaths
are rare. However, if you and your neighbor engage in a heated argument, and
one or both own guns, it becomes easier to use a firearm and injure or kill
each other. Personal contact, such as a fist fight, make these situations less
likely to end in death.
AMERICA LEADS THE WORLD ON MANY ISSUES: UNFORTUNATELY, MOST
OF THEM ARE NOT WORTHY OF PRAISE
America is the only nation whose election cycle lasts as
long as two years. All other civilized and developed nations restrict their
elections to no more than three months. No other nation wastes billions of
dollars every four years to elect a leader whose base pay is $400,000 each
year.
America is the only nation in the world that spends more
money preparing for war than on issues focused on improving the quality of life
for all citizens. Therefore, ours is the only country not guaranteeing the
right for all of its citizens to have access to the best healthcare available.
It is also the only democratic nation which fails to provide higher education
for free, or available at a reasonable and affordable cost.
America is the only nation whose justice system favors the
rich and powerful, and punishes low income and indigent men and women to the
full extent of the law. Your current, illegitimate president cannot be punished
for anly of his many crimes. It also offers greater protection for alleged
perpetrators than victims. This fact is the reason our nation has 25 percent of
all incarcerated individuals and less than five percent of the world’s population.
Our policy of punishing instead of rehabilitating convicted criminals accounts
for the highest recidivism rate in the world.
America greatly surpasses all other nations in the amount of
gun violence each year. All three branches of our federal government support
the right of gun manufacturers and gun sellers over the right of every citi
