Republican Presidential Platform: Constitutional Violations and War Crimes

Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart

The travesty happening in Washington today is a culmination of unconstitutional actions and crimes against humanity by the three worst presidents in history. It won’t surprise you that they all called themselves “Republicans.”

A LITTLE HISTORY

The dream created by our Founding Fathers centered on their belief that the people of every nation should have a voice in what happens within their government without exception.

However, a true democracy would be chaotic. Therefore, they created a “Democratic Republic.” The people would elect their president and legislative branch which would support their needs and wishes. The judicial branch, the Supreme Court, would not be subject to elections, and therefore separate from the inherent evils of politics. They would be selected by the current president, confirmed by the Senate, and receive lifetime appointments: big mistake.

Although the president would be the representative of one political party, when he was elected, he would serve all of our nation’s citizens equally.

The legislative branch would have the most power. Their purpose was to serve the people of their states, and with honest deliberation and compromise, laws and regulations would be passed intended to serve every citizen. This system was adequate until 1981 when everything began to fall apart.

THE ILLUSION OF RONALD REAGAN’S PRESIDENCY

In 1980, a “B” actor received the Republican Party’s nominee for the presidency. He proved to be a better actor than I believed. Independents, like me, believed his promises as he hid his true agenda.

Immediately after his inauguration on January 20, 1981, he revealed himself. He began wars on the working class, women, minorities, non-Christians, and exposed his support for the super-rich. “Trickle-down economics” has been used by every Republican since, and is a complete disaster for the majority.

Reagan began the demise of both our  Democratic Republic, and the existence of the once respected Grand Old Party. He demanded unquestioned loyalty from every member of his political party. Dissent and free thought was forbidden.

His support of what became the lobby known as the Christian Religious Right began a violation of the Constitution which continues today.

Reagan committed a war crime in his later years with the Iran-Contra Affair.

[The Iran-Contra affair was a major U.S. political scandal in the 1980s involving secret arms sales to Iran, the funding of anti-communist rebels in Nicaragua, and an illegal arms-for-hostages deal. Senior officials in President Ronald Reagan's administration secretly sold weapons to Iran—violating an arms embargo—to help free American hostages in Lebanon, and then used the extra money to fund the Contra rebels, defying a strict ban by Congress.

Reagan would become the third worst president in history.

GEORGE W. BUSH: THE WORST PRESIDENT IN HISTORY: UNTIL 2017

Republican nominee, George W. Bush, was elected by the Supreme Court in 2000. His time in the White House was confirmed by a violation of the Constitution, and this pattern continued.

Although Bush and V.P. Cheney were warned about an “imminent attack on U.S. soil,” they went on vacation in the summer of 2001. We will never know if 9/11 could have been prevented.

Bush signed into law the Patriot Act and the creation of ICE. Both are unconstitutional actions by a right-wing politician attempting to amass greater power.

Late in 2001, Bush ordered an attack on the suspected hideout of Al Qaeda’s leader, Osama bin Laden. He was hiding in caves located in Pakistan, in the mountains above Afghanistan. Bush refused to cross into Pakistan, and the mission failed.

In 2003, after lying to the United Nations, Congress, and the American people, he invaded the sovereign nation of Iraq. His allegation that Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein was harboring weapons of mass destruction for Al Qaeda were completely fabricated. This was war crime number one.

As his war on the innocent people of Iraq escalated, Bush, Cheney, and Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld, forced our military personal to return to a war zone for as many as five separate tours, violating the laws of humanity and their human rights.

Bush’s unwinnable wars, combined with his failed fiscal policy of trickle-down economics, placed our nation’s people in the Great Recession as the national debt skyrocketed. His failures were the reason he became the worst president in American history.

LAST AND THE WORST MAN TO WALK THE EARTH IN MODERN HISTORY

Getting to know the “real Donald Trump” is easy. His actions and inactions are common knowledge. History will remember him as not only the worst illegitimate president in American history, he will be remembered as the most destructive man in modern history, and the biggest traitor to American principles and ideals in 250 years.

What most people do not no about Trump is why he has become the most hated man on the planet.

Trump is not an American. He is not loyal to our nation’s people: his only priorities are to Vladimir Putin and himself. He is not an American president. He has no interest in serving the people who elected him. Big mistake.

Trump is not a man. Donald John Trump is an illusion, a façade. Everything he says is a lie. However, like his idol, Adolf Hitler, he knows that uninformed and ignorant people will believe anything if it is repeated constantly. Humans are desperate to trust anyone who espouses their personal beliefs.

Trump’s war on Iran is one, huge war crime. His attacks on speedboats off the shore of Venezuela are war crimes. His allegations in both situations do not include an iota of  proof; no justification for his murderous and inhumane actions has been offered or conifirmed.

Trump violates the Constitution more times in a single day than this old man goes to the bathroom. He has no respect for the law.  He owns six members of the Supreme Court and they placed him above the law with a guarantee of absolute immunity. He has been allowed and even encouraged to become our nation’s first, and hopefully last dictator. He is a traitor and our nation’s most infamous lifelong criminal.

Trump is no qualified for any position at any level of government, in any business, or on a team. He stands alone and his only interest is Donald John Trump.

Trump is America’s biggest mistake and its greatest enemy. He may be your president, but he will never be mine.
