Too Ignorant and Unwilling to Serve the People, Republicans May Pay for Their Sins in November

From November 8, 2016 until today, the men and women who
call themselves “Republicans” in 2026, continue to surround Donald Trump,
attempting to protect him from paying for the most serious crimes any American
citizen can commit. It appears that Democrats and Independents will retake
control of the House, and quite possibly the Senate in November. Sometimes, you
do get everything you paid for. Trump has become the right-wing’s albatross.
Trump’s many, many crimes range from lying to the American people
incessantly, and escalated to the ultimate and brazen act of treason on January
6, 2021. History will report his pitiful existence as a life composed entirely
of crime and debauchery.
WHY REPUBLICANS IN NAME ONLY SURRENDERED THEIR INTEGRITY AND
MORALS TO THE WORST MAN ON EARTH
When a very popular president, Barack Obama, was in his
final year of his second term, Republicans were desperate to find a candidate
who would excite their shrinking base of supporters, and take the White House
away from Democrats. If we look back at the men and women who occupied the
clown car during the 2016 primaries, it was abundantly clear from day one that
hope was fading quickly.
Let’s look at a few of the unqualified and disrespected
wannabes seeking the 2016 Republican presidential nomination.
The late Senator from South Carolina, Lindsey Graham, once
offered this quip about Ted Cruz.
"If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and
the trial was in the Senate, nobody could convict you."
It was a well-known fact that Cruz was, and is, disrespected
by members of his own party. In his home state of Texas, he has become known as
Ted “Cancun” Cruz. Everyone in America knows why.
Although Jeb Bush may have been qualified, he lacked
likeability when in front of the television cameras, and was incapable of
ignoring Trump’s personal attacks during the debates. He should have been
focusing on the issues facing our nation in the 21st century. Jeb
was even more disappointing than his brother, who was undoubtedly the second worst
president in history.
“Little” Marco Rubio was known as the laziest man in the
Senate. He rarely showed up to vote on legislation when it reached the floor of
the Senate. He, too, failed to display qualities which offered the voting
public confidence. As Trump’s Secretary of State, he continues to prove that he
lacks the intelligence necessary to serve in our nation’s government.
Ben Carson was not only woefully unqualified to lead our
nation, his overall appearance as a man who was not serious about becoming our
president prevented him from inspiring the public to vote for him. He never had
a chance.
John Kasich was the respected Governor of Ohio. However, his
lack of eloquence was likely the primary reason why Republican voters ignored
him, rejecting him as a viable candidate. He failed to convince Republican
voters that he was capable of leading a nation of 330 million people.
This takes us to the least qualified man in history to seek
our nation’s highest office, Donald John Trump.
THE ORANGE BUFFOON FOUND HIS BASE
The mainstream media
loved Donald Trump. He was crude, rude, far from eloquent, and was unafraid to
reveal his racist and bigoted beliefs. Men and women who previously refused to
support any candidate found a man who shared their vile and hateful views for
our nation’s future.
In Trump, the media found a level of sensationalism attractive
to a new audience. He was the reason advertisers gladly handed their money to
not only Fox but to all three major networks. Trump was given five times more
television coverage than all other candidates combined. Hillary Clinton was not
wrong when she referred to Trump supporters as “a basket of deplorables.”
Voters in red states found their leader. Although it was not
a secret that the entire right side of the aisle in the Capitol Building was
racist and offered their support to special interests, not 330 million people,
nearly all of them attempted to hide the truth. Trump remains brazen and
unapologetic.
However, Americans who cherished the Constitution found him
unworthy and displayed their distrust at the polls. Hillary Clinton defeated
the orange buffoon by three million votes.
Sadly, the will of the people is of no value in America’s
presidential elections. The Electoral College selects our presidents. With the
assistance of Vladimir Putin, James Comey, and the mainstream media, Trump
became our second illegitimate president. Remember, George W. Bush was gifted
the presidency by the Supreme Court.
Once again, in 2024, the failed and former Republican Party
was unable and unwilling to choose a qualified man or woman to lead them.
ALTHOUGH TRUMP’S FIRST TERM WAS DISASTROUS AND FILLED WITH
CONSTITUTIONAL VIOLATIONS, HE REMAINED POPULAR WITH THE MEDIA
When Trump was evicted from the White House on January 20,
2021, the media allowed him to remain in front of the television cameras. His
lies continued, and his cult remained loyal. However, real Americans hoped that
this stain on our nation’s reputation would disappear forever.
Another controversial election in 2024, made possible by six
Supreme Court Justices abusing their powers, offered the orange buffoon a
second opportunity to destroy America’s future.
Given absolute immunity by the Court, Trump began following
his fascist playbook, Project 2025. Over the last 20 months, his violations of
the Constitution have become too numerous to count.
Today, Trump’s approval rating is below 30 percent. Among informed voters, like yours truly, it
is below five percent. Trump is not an American president.
RIGHT-WING EXTREMISTS CREATED TRUMPENSTEIN, AND TRUMP’S
DWINDLING CULT CANNOT SAVE ALL OF THEM
If Democrats and Independents regain control of the
legislative branch, Trump will become what he is: a very old man whose mental
and physical abilities are in steep decline.
The men and women who call themselves “Republicans” are frightened.
They may lose elections in areas of our country which previously gave their
votes exclusively to a now non-existent Republican Party.
Whatever happens to members of the once Grand Old Party,
they earned it. They chose to ignore the people and serve a fascist dictator.
Desperation, as their base began to literally die, or leave the former Party of
Lincoln and become Independents, gave them no choice. They joined the “dark
side” and offered their fealty to the worst man in the world.
Personally, I miss the Republican Party. I am fully aware
that our nation is better, more efficient, when two parties offer diverse
opinions on the issues. Sadly, honest deliberation and compromise no longer
exist on Capitol Hill.
The title “Independent Voter” means just that. Prior to
1981, when Ronald Reagan remade the Grand Old Party into an organization of
clones hell-bent on destroying democracy, and therefore the United States of
America, I had choices. Today, I have no respect and cannot trust any member of
the Trump Fascist Party.
