Is the Death Penalty Justified if a Single Innocent Man or Woman is Executed and Later Proven Innocent?

When a man or woman is executed for their crimes, it’s permanent. If one individual is put to death, and later exonerated, this is sufficient proof that executions should not be used by any nation claiming that all lives matter.

The same people who support the death penalty, baselessly claiming that it is a deterrent for serious crime, are the same individuals who believe that “wars can be won.”

TRUMP AND HIS BROTHER IN ACTION AND SPIRIT, PETE HEGSETH, PLAN TO STAGE A PUBLIC EXECUTION BY FIRING SQUAD

It is an irrefutable fact that Trump is intentionally moving our nation backwards. Are you willing to allow violent action which has not been legally conducted for nearly a century to return, adding to the proof that America has become the most violent nation in the world?

Trump and the worst Secretary of Defense in 250 years, Pete Hegseth, are considering a public execution by firing squad for the convicted killer of multiple soldiers at Fort Hood in 2009. Is this where we are in the 21st century?

Remember, public hangings of Black Americans continued until 1981. They were intended to inform every American that “the South will rise again.” It is a disgusting fact that these were not just public, they were celebrations similar to “fairs,” and “carnivals.”

While every other developed nation in the world is moving forward into the 21st century, America has reversed its progressive direction and is regressing into its darkest days. Intelligent people learn from past mistakes with the intention of preventing their repetition. The current administration in Washington reveres the past and fears the future.

I believe in laws. No country, no civilization can exist without laws and consequences for violating them. However, I believe that all lives are sacred. If a single man or woman is executed and later proven innocent of the crime for which they were allegedly convicted, it is one too many. The pain and suffering of family and friends is irreparable and therefore unforgivable.

The death penalty was intended to be a deterrent, but that belief has been proven false time and time again.

AMERICA’S ENTIRE SYSTEM OF JUSTICE IS A COMPLETE FAILURE

From the actions of law enforcement, to the failure of our courts to treat all accused criminals equally, words like “fair,” “justice,” and the term “punishment equal to the crime,” no longer exist.

In any organization, and in every country, everything which affects the majority begins at the top.

When six corrupt and biased Supreme Court Justices granted rump powers he is not intended to have, including absolute immunity for the most serious crimes possible by an American citizen: treason on January 6, and violating the Espionage Act on January 20, also in 2021, the United States of America has become a country without laws, without “liberty and justice for all.”

What can I, or you, patriotic citizens who believe in the dreams and intent of our Founding Fathers, do about the travesty happening in our nation’s capital today?

We can use our most precious right, our right to vote, wisely.

In control of our government today is one democratic party, and the former Republican Party which has surrendered to the worst man in the world and openly become the “American Fascist Party.” These men and women freely give their fealty to Trump and his 989 oligarchs. America has abandoned the failed policy of “capitalism” and allowed a Plutocracy to replace our former system of governance. The majority of all Americans are suffering from the greed and apathy displayed by Trump and his fellow Neo-Nazi supporters, including an entire political party.

I am a lifelong Independent. However, with the negative changes in our federal government today, I strongly encourage you to vote against any man or woman having an “R” next to his or her name on the ballot. A vote for any man or woman calling themselves a Republican, is, in reality, a vote for the worst president in history.

If Democrats and Independents regain control of the House and Senate, Trump and his treasonous political party will become powerless. We can, by our votes, return our nation to being the most respected nation in the world.
