The Question No One Is Asking
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart
I know, and I hope you know how important this election is.
Because Trump’s party refuses to do the right thing and remove the orange
buffoon from the White House by invoking the 25th Amendment, we,
true Americans, can remove his power on November 3rd. If Democrats and
Independents regain control of the House and Senate, sanity will return to
Washington.
Trump is on his desperation tour, focused primarily on supporting
his sycophants in red states. There have been empty seats everywhere, and in
Texas your illegitimate president was heckled constantly.
This brings me to one, important question: “do Trump’s ‘people’
care about this election?” It seems that Trump’s cult is losing its interest in
the leader of our nation’s Neo-Nazi movement.
2020 WAS HISTORICAL: WILL 2026 EXPERIENCE A RECORD TURNOUT?
Midterm elections usually record a lower voter turnout than
general elections. This is somewhat understandable; we are not choosing a president.
However, all 435 seats in the House and one-third of the Senate are asking for
your vote
It appears that the House will once again belong to Democrats,
but the Senate remains in doubt.
Why does this matter? Congress controls the money.
Our Founding Fathers established our current system of
checks and balances by creating three separate but equal branches. However, a
cursory inspection of the Constitution confirms that their major concern was
preventing one man from becoming an autocrat. This was effective until 2024 when
six corrupt and biased Supreme Court Justices granted Trump absolute immunity
for his many crimes. Therefore, Congress
has the power to make a president ‘impotent.’ They can override a veto, and
refuse to pass legislation introduced by the president’s party. Congress can choose
not to fund wasteful programs opposed by the majority of our nation’s people.
If progressives control both houses, Trump will be impeached
for a third time: another first. He has committed more violations of the
Constitution than I can count on my fingers and toes in his first two years.
A HUGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE GENERAL ELECTION AND THE
MIDTERMS
The Electoral College is fascist: it removes the First
Amendment rights of the people. Our presidents can and have lost the popular
vote but became the president when they received 270 Electoral Votes.
Therefore, your vote may not count in the general election. States decide who
will lead our nation for the next four years.
Think about how different our nation would be today if every
vote counted, and the people were allowed to choose the man or woman who will
be living in the White House.
In 2000, Al Gore would have become our 43rd
president. In 2016, Hillary Clinton would have become our first female
president. The two worst presidents in history, George W. Bush, and Donald John
Trump, would never have had the opportunity to cause great harm to our nation,
and divide our people.
In the midterm elections, we, the people, choose the men and
women who will serve us on Capitol Hill.
Although your voice may not be heard in 2028, on November 3rd,
2026, every vote will be counted and your voice will be heard.
Please vote for yourself and those you love, not for a political
party which exists for one reason: to have power over our country’s future,
whether we like it or not.
