Once Again, It’s Democracy vs Fascism
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart
My father and mother were two of millions of Americans
willing to sacrifice the lives they dreamed of while growing up in America. Both
of them were part of our country’s effort to defeat fascism forever.
My father served in the United States Navy in WWII, and my
mother was “Rosie the Riveter,” working at the Boeing Factory in Seattle,
Washington. This is how they met.
My father was discharged in Seattle in 1945, with orders to
return home to Jackson, Mississippi. Somehow, someway, they met in Seattle and
were married in July of 1945. I was born in Lewiston, Idaho, my mother’s home,
in Juley of 1946.
Every year we celebrate the courageous men and women who crushed
a fascist dictator on Memorial Day.
So, how did a fascist become the Fuhrer of the United
States?
TRUMP HAS IDOLS: ADOLF HITLER, VLADIMIR PUTIN, THE CROWN
PRINCE OF SAUDI ARABIA, AND ANY POWERFUL DICTATOR
Trump cares about Trump. Anyone who knows anything about the
creature he created is aware that no one in the world has any importance to
him, unless they offer absolute fealty to the demagogue. However, Trump never
reciprocates.
Anyone who voted for the worst man in the world must take a
citizenship test before being allowed to vote in any future election. You voted
for a terrorist and a traitor.
Moscow Mitch McConnell selected two men and one woman to
serve in the Supreme Court for a single reason: they promised to support the
right-wing’s extremist policies, including the repeal of Roe v Wade. Like his
president, Moscow Mitch is a misogynist who believes women have a single
purpose: to serve the needs of men. Thes two, old, white men consider all women
inferior and incapable of making decisions related to their physical and mental
health.
He also believes that a fascist regime is necessary to
maintain the current plutocracy which rules America in the 21st
century.
If you support the men and women who pretend to be Republicans,
you are accepting the vile plans for our nation’s future contained in the right-wing
fascist manifesto, Project 2025.
WHEN YOU VOTE TOMORROW, REMEMBER THE MORE THAN 25 MILLION
MEN AND WOMEN WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES TO END FASCISM IN WWII
Tomorrow is election day. Apathy is usually the term used to
describe midterm elections. However,
tomorrow, we, the people, can remove the men and women who support America’s
first dictator from office.
Without absolute control of the legislative branch, Trump’s
power over your future will be greatly diminished.
A vote for any “Republican” is a vote for Trump.
