Relax, Just More Proof that Trump Will Become a Dictator: Enjoy Your Last Free and Fair Election

Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart

If you choose to be ignorant and Trump is elected in November, you will “get what you paid for.” He will not be a president who serves our nation and its people, he will use his powers to pardon himself from his own crimes, including treason and espionage, and exact revenge on every true American who would like to see his humungous derriere behind bars for the remainder of his disgusting life, where it belongs.

“America isn’t easy.” This was a line from “The American President,” spoken by actor Michael Douglas.

Think about what this means, because it is very true.

WHETHER AMERICA SURVIVES OR CEASES TO EXIST IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EVERY AMERICAN

The United States of America is a lazy nation in the 21st century. Everyone wants the easy way, the quick way. No one wants to work long and hard for what they want. Produce farmers in California will confirm that younger, American citizens refuse to work in their fields: the work is just too hard.

I am an old man. My younger years were far more difficult than younger Americans face today. I know that every generation says something similar, because every generation new benefits from their predecessors. The truth is that the advancements in everything from electronics to the way we eat make life easier, even effortless in 2024. I have adapted somewhat but I cannot speak for others my age.

Some things have not changed for me. Because I worked hard in school, and yes, education was far more important in the 1950’s and 1960’s than it appears today. What college seniors know about our country and the world in general today, I knew as a high school senior.

I definitely knew more about America: its history, how it advanced and how it failed, how our government works, and how important it is for every citizens to be involved. Although there were imperfections from the day the Constitution was signed until today, most of our elected officials believed in the future of our young country, and progress was made, although we definitely hit a few bumps in the road. We were the world’s leader in progressive change. However, what I call “the great change” began in 1981 and has worsened every year since.

OATHS OF OFFICE AND THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR ALL LOST THE INTEREST OF AN ENTIRE POLITICAL PARTY

At no time in my life have I been a member of a political party. Part of the reason is that I have never been a “joiner:I’m just too damn independent. But most of the reasons are based on a single fact: only the best man or woman should receive our precious votes. Voting for a candidate based on their party affiliation is moronic and a waste of a perfectly good ballot.

For the most part, common sense and doing the right thing every time is something from our past. Weakness, the result of emotions instead of our use of free thought and decisions based on fact, dominates how most Americans vote. They are too lazy to invest even a few minutes to learn something about the candidates. Like your former “president,” they learn everything they need to know from television.” There is a reason it’s called the “boob tube.”

In 1980, I and millions of other Americans were conned by an actor. Ronald Reagan was effective as the Governor of the wealthiest state in the Union, California. However, within the first few months of his presidency in 1981, we learned about the “real Ronald Reagan.” He was a racist, a religious bigot, and a tool for the wealthiest of our country’s people. Reagan demanded unfettered loyalty from his party, which began to drive wedges between Democrats and Republicans. Politics began to take precedence over the jobs for which they were elected.

Reagan began his wars on minorities, the working class, non-Christians, the LGBTQ community, and women’s rights. He was able to hide most of this behind his doomed to fail “war on drugs,” with its silly slogan, “just say no.” He kept the American people focused on his foreign policy which overshadowed his failed domestic policies.

His presidency ended in 1989, but his policies did not. Although George H.W. Bush was a good and loyal American, he was as ineffective as Jimmy Carter. The next two “Republican” presidents would become the worst in our nation’s history.

TODAY'S “REPUBLICANS” ARE AN EXTENSION OF REAGAN’S DEMANDS

The curse of Donald Trump is a direct result of Reagan’s policies, most significantly his demand of 100 party unification, eliminating the most important tools in our government: deliberation and compromise.

Today, Republicans and Democrats refuse to communicate with each other. Right-wing politicians preach messages of anger and hatred against their former brothers and sisters sitting across the aisle.

Trump continues to intentionally divide our nation’s people, making our country weak and susceptible to the orange buffoon’s plan to end democracy and replace it with a fascist regime, with him as its dictator-in-chief.

TRUMP’S PLANS FOR AMERICA ARE PLANS FOR HIMSELF, NOT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE

Trump is already making plans to take action against real Americans immediately after the election. He will institute Marial Law, taking complete control of all federal law enforcement agencies and our military. He has plans to take even greater control of our legislative and judicial branches. The National Treasury will become his personal bank. Trump will waste even more tax dollars than he and his family did between 2017 and 2021. The United States will become the Plutocracy Republicans want, protected by Fuhrer Donald John Trump. He will become America’s “Big Adolf.”
