Trump is “The Imperialist President”
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart
America has been guilty of Imperialism for most of its 249 years.
We “stick our noses” into situations in other countries and make the conditions
worse.
Imperialism: “a policy of extending a country's power and
influence through diplomacy or military force.”
In my 79 years, a relatively short period of time in the
history of the world, I have witnessed American imperialism in Korea, Vietnam,
Afghanistan, and Iraq.
Afghanistan may be the worst example of the ignorance of an
American president and his administration in history.
George W. Bush ordered an attack inside Afghanistan on
October 7, 2001. He told the American people that our intelligence agencies had
located the architect of the attacks on 9/11 in a country with a long history
of wars, and harboring criminals.
Bin Laden was located in a cave located in the Tora Bora
area of Afghanistan. However, when Bush learned that the actual area where bin Laden
was located was in Pakistan, he ended the planned attack. However, he left our
military in Afghanistan and intentionally began a war with the Taliban. The
invasion of Afghanistan began our nation’s longest war.
Iraq was invaded on March 19, 2003. He lied to the United
Nation, Congress, and the American people, claiming that the leader of Iraq,
Saddam Hussein, was hiding “weapons of mass destruction” for Al Qaeda.
The United States of America had become engaged in two
additional and unwinnable wars.
Trump is attempting to greatly exceed the imperialistic
policies of his predecessors.
Recently, he ordered our cowardly military to invade
Venezuela, capture its leader, and bring him to the United States for trial. I
find it interesting that our nation’s “justice system” will try the leader of a
foreign nation for crimes against America, while your illegitimate president
commits crimes daily but remains a free man.
Trump has also threatened an invasion against Iran,
Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Canada, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Argentina,
Ecuador, Bolivia, Greenland: virtually all of South America.
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen released a statement
on Sunday, demanding that Trump cease his moronic plan to annex Greenland.
“It makes absolutely no sense to talk about the need for the
United States to take over Greenland. The United States has no right to annex
any of the three countries in the Commonwealth,” Frederiksen said, according to
Google’s translation service.
“I would therefore strongly urge the United States to stop
the threats against a historically close ally and against another country and
another people who have said very clearly that they are not for sale,” she
added, in translation.
Throughout his pitiful life of crime and debauchery, Trump
proved that he is a weak-minded, spoiled, rich brat, whose lifelong affliction
with malignant narcissism which forces him to seek power over others regardless
of the harm he may cause. His advanced age has only made the situation worse.
He is mentally ill and should never have been allowed to take the office of
president.
The most dangerous inmate in the asylum is now ruling over
340 million innocent people, and no one in our government or the military is
willing to save our nation from total destruction.
