What Were You Doing Five Years Ago Today?

My wife and I were retired on January 6, 2021. We were watching
television when the broadcast was interrupted with an announcement of “BREAKING
NEWS.”
The next thing we saw was a hastily constructed wooden
structure but no one was standing on it. A couple of minutes later we saw the
humongous ass of your illegitimate president struggling to walk up two stairs
and stand behind a microphone. Thus began the “big lie,” and the darkest day in
American history.
Trump addressed a small number of his cult’s members. We
later learned that an even larger number were already outside of the Capitol
building.
First, he told the big lie, although every court in the land,
including his own, stacked Supreme Court threw out the cases before them,
claiming that he had won the November 2020 election. Then he ordered them to
march to the Capitol and prevent the certification of the Electoral College
vote.
Although this is a requirement contained in the
Constitution, the old, obese man pretended to be your president for the previous
four years, and failing, who swore to “preserve, protect, and defend the
Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic,”
executed an attempted coup.
This act of pure treason had been planned and organized at
the Willard Hotel in D.C. by Trump, a few of his closest aides, and several
leaders of neo-Nazi groups who were now leading their band of thugs and
criminals to Capitol Hill.
We were horrified as we watched “Trump’s people” smash
windows and break down doors as they stormed sacred ground where thousands of
men and women voted on laws which would shape our nation’s future for
generations to come over most of the last 245 years.
They proceeded to vandalize offices, and in some cases defecate
on furniture as they searched for Mike Pence and Nancy Pelosi. Trump had
previously ordered their murders.
We later learned as we sat in front of our television for
three disgusting and sad hours, that Trump was doing the same in a small room
adjacent to the Oval Office. He refused to call anyone involved in the
insurrection and halt the violence, until lives had been lost and the damage to
our nation’s history had been done.
When I finally accepted what I had witnessed as reality, I
asked one, major question: “where was our military for three hours?” This was
an attack on our nation and its future while the men and women in the Pentagon
were sitting on their fat asses and doing nothing.
Throughout 2025, and continuing today, I learned why they
did nothing. They support Trump and his fascist plans for America’s future. The
Pentagon is complicit with Trump in his murder of more than one hundred
individuals he claimed were “drug runners.” They aided him with the kidnapping
of Maduro, the leader of the sovereign nation of Venezuela.
The Pentagon and six corrupt members of the Supreme Court
continue to kiss his flabby, large ass: there’s plenty of room for everyone.
It makes me extremely sad to remember that day. As a
political writer since 2012, one thing I never imagined was that a sitting
president would commit treason and attempt to overthrow his own democratically
elected government.
So much for the dream; the experiment. Our Founding Father’s
efforts to create a great nation failed. Today, the world is a more dangerous place
for everyone.
Meanwhile, a modern day Adolf Hitler remains a free man, and
is destroying our beloved nation with every passing day. Only in America.
