Trump’s Plan is Working: The Rich are Getting Richer, and the Poor are Getting Poorer

Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart

Trump told “his people” time and time again: “I love spending other people’s money.” Over the last 18 months we learned that for once he told the truth. His tacky remodel of the White House, a ballroom no one but he wants, the destruction of the reflecting pool, and an arch will cost taxpayers billions of dollars. Add to this the fact that his many trips on Air Force One to play golf, or travel to Mar-a-Lago are a waste of more than 10 million dollars each month.

MORE PROMISES MADE, MORE PROMISES BROKEN

Campaign promises which were actually lies: “I will end inflation on day one.” “I will end the invasion of Ukraine on day one.” “With me as your president, there will be no more wars in the Middel East.”

There is one truth, one irrefutable fact involving everything Trump is doing while pretending to be your president. His 989 oligarchs are profiting from another Trump presidency, while the average American is struggling at the grocery store and the gas pump. Trump is the reason for the old song, “The Rich Get Richer, and the Poor Get Poorer.”

Not only do Trump’s billionaires own the most profitable corporations in the world, many of them, like our elected officials, are invested in the military industrial complex. “War is good for business.”

Did anyone really believe that Trump would end “Greedflation” now that America has become a country ruled by a plutocracy?

If you voted for the orange buffoon, I am not sorry for you. Kamala Harris was right.
