America’s Federal Government is Composed of Cowards and Hypocrites: Canada’s Mark Carney is Not Afraid of the Orange Buffoon
Op-ed by TheWiseOldFart
There has only been one “great” president in my 80 years on
this planet. His name has become as American as “mom and apple pie.’
John Fitzgerald Kennedy was elected and became America’s 35th
President during the first semester of my first year in high school: 1960. Although
I had always had an interest in politics, beginning in 1956, his eloquent
speech gave me greater feelings of pride, patriotism, and hope.
Few of you remember that before he was chosen to lead our
country, he wrote a best-selling book. The title was “Profiles in Courage.” The
book was released in 1956. Its subject focuses on short biographies of eight
U.S. Senators who deserved JFK’s admiration.
Sadly, this book could not be written today. It is not
feasible that eight men or women out of 100 senators could be called courageous.
Hell, they seldom follow the golden rule and simply “do the right thing.”
Trump can be defined by many terms: mentally deficient, a malignant narcissist,
unfit for office, the leader of America’s Neo-Nazi movement, self-serving,
uncaring, and America’s most prolific criminal. There are others, including
many which contain expletives. What he cannot be called is “President of the
United States.” He is not loyal to my country, and not once has he acted “presidential.”
BY HIS OWN ACTIONS, TRUMP HAS PROVEN THAT TARIFFS ARE NOT
EFFECTIVE, AND ARE MORONIC
Trump is attacking our closest ally, both geographically and
ideologically. He is demanding actions from Canada related to trade, and Prime
Minister Mark Carney is refusing to comply with the orange buffoon’s outrageous
demands. He told reporters that his country will seek trade agreements with
other nations. He said: “that progress has not been enough to meet our
objectives for Canadians.”
He continued: “As a result, this evening, I have decided to
suspend trade negotiations with the U.S. and have directed Canada’s negotiators
to return to Ottawa,” Carney said in an emailed statement minutes before the
deadline.
He wasn’t finished, and added to his remarks: “We have
recognized from the beginning that America has changed, and that we will not
return to our old relationship,” Carney said. “Canada has what the world wants.
And we will not allow any nation to determine our future.”
TRUMP HAS FAILED TO PROTECT OUR COUNTRY’S ECONOMY FOR MORE
THAN FIVE YEARS AND SEVEN MONTHS
Between 2017 and 2021, Trump proved that his self-created
economic policies are unstable and incapable of solving our nation’s biggest
problems. His failure to admit the existence of a health emergency in December
of 2019, resulted in more than one million deaths and placed our nation near to
a second Great Depression.
Today, in 2026, the national deficit has risen to 40
trillion dollars.
My bride and I are seniors, ages 80 and 75. We struggled to
survive on a fixed income before Trump was gifted a second, illegitimate term
as America’s president.
Greedflation is the major reason why our lives have become
more difficult. When Trump unilaterally decided to place tariffs on imports
from every nation in the world, the problem became disastrous for us, and
millions of other seniors.
Trump is not concerned. He basically told the majority of
American’s to “get over it.” His 989 billionaires/oligarchs are experiencing even
greater additions to their already bloated bank accounts.
Prove me wrong: Trump is not performing the job for which he
was elected and is not my president.
