When we became eligible for Medicare, we would be required to pay about 150 dollars per month for part “B,” each, and that didn’t cover everything we might need including vision care and prescription medicine. People half our age are now receiving comprehensive healthcare under the Affordable Care Act, “or Obamacare,” for as little as 20-30 dollars per month without contributing any additional funds to Medicare. Bad calls and no calls all too often decide the outcome of games critical to the success of teams and players in a single season. I offer you a few examples. In 2013, Super Bowl XLVII was a contest between the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers. Near the end of the game, 49er quarterback Colin Kaepernick moved his team in position to win the game. He threw a pass to a receiver standing in the end zone. I am forced to spend between five and ten times what someone half my age pays for medical services because the only services available to me are from Medicare. Medicare is the most expensive healthcare plan in the universe of developed nations.
